The 4 Seasons

First of all, I want to give a huge thank you and shout out to Sydni Brawley. This project would have been LITERALLY impossible without her. She is incredibly talented and put herself in so many different variations of poses, locations, hairstyles, and outfits for this project.

Sydni and I started this journey about 3 years ago, and it has finally come to fruition. The inspiration:

One photo for each season embodying the elements and feel of that particular season.

Before I go on, I want to say that this project has pushed both of us to grow in our own elements. Looking back on our first shoot, Autumn, I can’t help but feel a sense of pride over how much my photography style has evolved and grown. As for Sydni, I definitely put her in some less than ideal shooting situations. Autumn involved a pokey wire hanger crown strung with leaves, Winter was freezing cold, Spring was sprawled out in a bed of itchy grass, and Summer was probably the worst of it. We kept repeating a famous Tyra Banks line from ANTM:

“furs in the summer, swimwear in the winter!”

I don’t know if it helped, but it was a way to laugh and get through the str Sydni, I tip my proverbial hat to you; you are a seriously talented model.

4 Summer: “summer is wild and free. she is magical, inviting, and full of promise”1FINSIHED-13 Spring: “spring is a blossoming woman. she is bashful, bright, and grows in her beauty”banweb2 Winter: “winter is often misunderstood. she is silent, bitter, and strikingly beautiful”wintersmal1 Autumn: “autumn is a matronly figure. she is warm, strong, and full of life” sysmal

Completing this project feels like such a huge accomplishment because it took nearly 3 years. I am so thankful that I got to work with Sydni and know her better, and am so excited for our next adventure together !
